Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses CrowdSnaps — account holders, event hosts, and guests who upload or view media. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Account holders are responsible for making sure the hosts and guests at their events follow it.

2. Content restrictions

Do not upload, store, display, or distribute content that:

• is unlawful in the jurisdiction where the event takes place;
• sexually exploits or endangers a minor, in any form or context;
• is sexually explicit, gratuitously violent, or otherwise obscene;
• harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence or hatred against a person or group;
• infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights you do not hold;
• depicts a person in a private setting without their knowledge, or was captured where recording is prohibited;
• contains malware, phishing links, or content designed to deceive viewers.

Event media is displayed publicly on screens and in shared galleries. Treat every upload as something a room full of people will see.

3. Platform conduct

Do not:

• access another account, event, host portal, or media file you were not given a link to;
• probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without written permission — live events contain other people’s photos;
• create multiple accounts, rotate events, or otherwise work around plan limits;
• resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service to third parties beyond the branding features included in your plan;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download media from events you do not administer;
• send automated or excessive requests that degrade the Service for others;
• use the Service as generic file storage, a backup target, or a content delivery network unrelated to an event.

4. Guest privacy and consent

If you run an event, you are responsible for telling guests, before they upload, that their photos may be shown on a screen, browsed by other attendees, and downloaded by the host.

Honor removal requests promptly. Hosts can reject or delete any upload from the host portal, which removes it from the slideshow and gallery immediately.

Do not use guest names or messages collected through an event for marketing, and do not attempt to identify guests who chose to upload anonymously.

5. Reporting abuse

To report content or behavior that breaches this policy, email support@crowdsnaps.com with the event link and a description of the problem. For urgent situations involving a live event, put “URGENT” in the subject line.

If you are a guest who wants your own upload removed, contact the event host first — they can remove it instantly. If you cannot reach them, contact us and we will help.

6. Enforcement

We do not pre-screen content. When we become aware of a breach, our response is proportionate to its severity and may include:

• removing specific media or disabling an event link;
• contacting the account holder and requiring corrective action;
• suspending an account pending investigation;
• terminating an account without refund;
• reporting to law enforcement where content is illegal — child sexual abuse material is always reported and never given a warning first.

Where circumstances allow, we give notice and a chance to fix the problem before suspending an account.

7. Appeals

If you believe we acted in error, email legal@crowdsnaps.com within 30 days with the account email and details. A person will review the decision and respond.
